Overview
Brahmatal Trek is located in Uttarakhand's Himalayas at an altitude of 3734 metres and is best done during the winter months of January and February. Furthermore, this walk provides breathtaking vistas of high Himalayan peaks Mt. Trishul and Mt. Nanda Ghunti, as well as many snow-covered summits. The beautiful Brahmatal region is nestled between two massive snow-capped hills that provide for a spectacular vista. The meadows, on the other hand, are still blanketed with snow. As a result, it appears to be the most excellent iciness trek in Uttarakhand. In addition, it is a top-rated skiing destination.
Itinerary
Make a beeline towards Lohajung. If you want to travel with us, we will pick you up at 7 a.m. from Dehradun and take you to Lohajung. At the late evening, between 8 and 9 p.m., expect to arrive in Lohajung. The route takes you through the beautiful Devprayag and Karnprayag districts. We'll arrive at Lohajung in the evening and settle into a guesthouse for the night. Lohajung is a tiny mountain pass that links the Gwaldam and Wan sides of the mountain at 2300 metres. Spend an evening in Lohajung's little market, which shuts extremely early, or watch a lovely sunset from your guest house's balcony. For a good night's sleep, eat breakfast and retire to bed early.
After breakfast, start your hike with a packed lunch. Just outside of Lohajung, there is an ascending human-made stone route. The trail provides breathtaking views of the Nandaghunti Peak. The majority of the trek takes place in a coniferous forest with Cedar, Oak, and Fir trees. Bekaltal (2750 m) is a beautiful lake that is usually frozen in the months of January and February. The journey to Bekaltal is around 8 kilometres long and takes about 4-5 hours to accomplish. Bekaltal Lake is a beautiful camping location surrounded by oak woods. We're going to stay here for the night.
We depart camp early in the morning towards Brahmatal (3400 metres), where Lord Brahma is reputed to have meditated many years ago. This is where the state bird of Uttrakhand, the Monal, may be found. Views of peaks like Trishul, Bithartoli, and Nandaghunti will keep your photographers busy today. Brahmatal Lake is a tiny body of water that is difficult to see from afar, especially when it is completely frozen in the winter. We'll find a good camping spot near the lake and pitch our tent for the night. Winters in our part of the world may be very cold, yet our camps and sleeping bags can keep us toasty all night.
Today is a straightforward day. You can bring a daypack and leave your bag at the camp because we will be returning to the same location. We climb to the summit of Brahmatal ( 3846 M). The Himalayan range may be seen spectacularly on your right. Mt. Trishul and Nandaghunti are two of the most famous summits, and they resemble one other so closely that you could think you're looking at a movie screen. Return to the camp.
On this day, the magnificent journey comes to an end. After taking in the greatest vistas and snow-covered trail, we'll return to Lohajung on the same trail. We'll arrive at Lohajung in the afternoon. This day might be spent relaxing or exploring the little village, listening to inhabitants tell legendary stories and learning about their culture. You should stay at the guest home.
It's time to leave the lovely Lohajung village, but not before capturing many life-long memories.
